Mai 36 Galerie is pleased to announce ZIGGURAT, a solo exhibition with the Canadian artist group General Idea, presenting four historic Ziggurat paintings. ⁠

The ziggurat form holds a central importance in General Idea’s œuvre and is an integral element in the artist trio’s vocabulary. This symbol, either explicitly or subtly, appears across the collective’s diverse works—including paintings, drawings, performances, photographs, sculptures, prints, videos, and costumes—throughout their existence.⁠
