We are pleased to announce the group exhibition SENSITIVE SKINS, curated by Antonio Grulli and in collaboration with CIRCOLO in the beautiful Via della Spiga in Milan.

October 02 - December 06

Via della Spiga 48

Milan, Italy

What is art made of? Art is skin, a surface beneath which we can penetrate at our peril. And artists are like vampires, sensitive skins on which everything is imprinted like a scar, and by burning they sacrifice their lives to be able to embrace eternity. Artists feed on their fellow human beings, their lives, their emotions, hopes, fears. Of their ardors. Art is not a mirror of reality, because it feeds on reality, and by feeding on reality it is able to make it in its own image. And art is about the closeness of bodies, physical proximity; to make art we have to be present with our bodies, close, the skins have to brush against each other, because art comes only from true physical communities. The passage of art happens through the skin, it is an erotic transmission, you cannot learn it in books. It is an infection, a disease, and there is nothing harmless about it.
