Mai 36 Galerie at Art Basel Paris 2025 - Booth B51
Mai 36 Galerie is delighted to announce its participation at Art Basel Paris 2025 with a presentation that brings together both seminal positions and new voices in contemporary art. The booth highlights the gallery’s long-standing commitment to intergenerational dialogues between pioneering figures and artists defining today’s cultural moment.
A cabinet presentation will be dedicated to Irma Blank (1934–2023), the German-Italian artist whose work investigates the relationship between language, writing, and abstraction. Her practice, developed over five decades, continues to play an important role in current debates around text, image, and translation.
A special wall will feature new works by Jacopo Benassi (b. 1970), one of the most prominent Italian artists today. His direct, uncompromising photographic language has shaped a distinct visual identity, situating his work at the intersection of photography, sculpture and performance.
The presentation includes a work from John Baldessari’s series Morsels and Snippets (2013), shown in parallel to the artist’s current exhibition at BOZAR, Brussels, underscoring Baldessari’s lasting influence as one of the most influential conceptual artists of our time.
Finally, two sculptures by Magali Reus (b. 1981) will be on view, celebrating the beginning of her representation by Mai 36 Galerie. Reus has established herself internationally with a sculptural language that transforms everyday forms into precise and layered objects.
