Just over thirty years after his untimely passing, MASI is dedicating a significant exhibition to the Italian photographer Luigi Ghirri (Scandiano, 1943 - Reggio Emilia, 1992). A pioneering figure and influential thinker in the field of photography and its role in modern culture, Ghirri created an unparalleled body of work in 1970s and 1980s Europe; a playful, poetic, and profound reflection on the photographic medium. The exhibition at MASI showcases Ghirri's deep fascination with both real and imaginary journeys, through a carefully selected collection of approximately 140 photographs
