Magali Reus – Tales and Reals
Magali Reus (1981, The Hague) creates sculptures that transform seemingly everyday objects. By disconnecting them from their original function, layered and complex assemblages of images and materials emerge. Instead of using readymades, Reus combines advanced technologies with traditional craftsmanship to create works that playfully reinterpret familiar elements from reality.
The exhibition presents three new related bodies of work: Merlin (2024), Rig (2025) and Streamers (2025). Together, these works reflect an ongoing investigation into ecology, consumption, and the effects of contemporary production processes.
