The book Albrecht Schnider. Entwegte Landschaft singularly highlights the landscape as motif and was published on the occasion of the exhibition Albrecht Schnider. Entwegte Landschaft at Kunstmuseum Thun (29 May – 15 August 2021).
A foreword by Helen Hirsch, director of the Kunstmuseum Thun, and essays by Angelika Affentranger-Kirchrath and Susanna Koeberle subdivide the sequence of reproductions, introducing readers of these pictures to the themes of Schnider’s landscapes. Affentranger-Kirchrath places Schnider’s work in an art historical setting while Koeberle explores the neutral spirit that underlies his landscapes.
