Jürgen Drescher

The long and quite eventful artistic career of the conceptual video, text, image, performance, and object artist Jürgen Drescher is presented clearly for the first time in this publication. Jürgen Drescher studied with Klaus Rinke at the Düsseldorf Art Academy and caused a sensation in the 1980s with his "Bar" projects (in collaboration with Reinhard Mucha). Jürgen Drescher experienced his first highlights with solo exhibitions at the Kunsthalle Zürich and his appearance in the Aperto at the Venice Biennale. This publication focuses on the various areas of his artistic work over the past 25 years, with a special emphasis on the cast objects created in the past five years.
