General Idea

The catalogue Tiempo Partido was published on the occasion of the first retrospective exhibition of General Idea in Latin America. The Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires (MALBA) published this publication in Spanish (with an appendix in English) of 180 pages, which includes a wide selection of photos that reviews the production and aesthetics of the group, as well as different room views of the exhibition at the Jumex Museum, where it was previously presented between October 2016 and February 2017.

The book includes different essays: "Mythical time: a guide to not get lost in the viral path of General Idea" by curator Agustín Pérez Rubio; "Paraphernalia" by Gabriel Villalobos; "History pages. El dorado (Maracaibo) and Fin de Siècle "by Ivo Mesquita and" Espectros de un virus ", by Francesco Scasciamacchia.
